Significant Getaway

So you might have seen previous post about Taiwan, and yup! Went there during the April holidays. Yeah I know it's overdue but it's still gonna be blog-worthy! :) 

This getaway was my most impromptu one and had a really significant impact left on me. For the first time, it was an all-female getaway in my family! People in Taiwan are really friendly and almost everywhere we go, we could see adorable doggies, and they were very obedient! We went along with a tour group and explore ourselves on the remaining free-and-easy days. Met new people and the nightlife was really awesomeeeee. On the last two nights, I decided to roam around streets at Ximending while my family were asleep. Shopping till past midnight was something I could never do it in Singapore!

The other actual motive to travel to Taiwan was actually to visit my mom & godma's old town, school, friends etc. The last photo was my godma's bff and family back in her Taiwan days, they were too friendly and nice to treat us like their own and specially treated us to seafood feast. 

 All in all, I could never forget this memorable getaway! Weirdly enough, I found the answers to my doubts, and any insecurities were gone in that eight days, as well as being inspired. Cheesy enough, this journey helps me to find myself back and renewed me.

31/03/2012 - Tourists for the day!! Impromptu flyer ride from Cannes since we were both bored at home and she happened to have free tickets, so there we go! Pretty much enjoyable once in awhile we could actually do something that is not shopping. Hehe. Lovely day indeed. :)

Singapore Trail

 

There are many places I haven't been to in Singapore, although I've been a Singaporean for seventeen years plus and counting. And...... yes, Haw Par Villa is one of it! Oops.. I feel like a country bumpkin. So finally, I went there today and get to tour around the Ten Courts of Hell! Thereafter, had fried rice for dinner at Gluttons Bay and brought boy to the Food Trail for some ice ball! Check out the road signs and vintage jukebox they have there. Great trail today. :)

Melissa's Eighteenth

07/03/2012 - Celebrated Melissa's 18th at Timbre. Was kinda' impromptu as we decided to plan the surprise together with the original gathering at Timbre, and it turned out successful! But it kinda' failed, because the Brigid & I didn't know the band had already sang finished the song. And when we brought out the cake, the band was playing You and Me by Lifehouse, which was obviously off-mood. Nonetheless, we still sang birthday song and it was a fun night! :)
